[LasVegasWeekly] By Jennifer Grafiada – Apparently, it is a lot of women’s childhood dream to be a Playboy Bunny–or to have their daughters be one. The matronly Hispanic bathroom attendant asked me if you had to be 21, and when I answered yes, she looked downtrodden. Her daughter was 20. Maybe next year–and that’s the phrase that will hopefully comfort the dozens of bikini-clad hopefuls who were sent home disappointed at the annual Bunny Hunt at the Palms Pool.

While the Bunny wannabes worked the pool, numbers tacked onto their tiny tops or bottoms, two certified Bunnies prowled the deck looking for stand-outs. At the end of the mercilessly hot afternoon, four finalists were announced.

The quartet will advance to the Playboy Club on Sunday night, where they will be judged based on their personality, social skills and of course, appearance. All will be eliminated except one, who will then be hired as a full-time Play Club Bunny–complete with cuffs, bow tie, silky ears and cotton ball tail. Below are a few of the contestants and their reasons for competing for Hefner’s highest honor.

“It‚Äôs something that I‚Äôve always been interested in and I‚Äôve come out [to Vegas from Denver] for the summer, so I‚Äôm just having fun with it and seeing where it goes. You never know!”‚ÄîDenise E (who is under 5′ tall)

“I think I have a good head on my shoulders, the best personality, the best attitude. I’m willing to do anything to get this. I’ve always wanted to be a Playboy Bunny. I got them done [her boobs] for this opportunity. ‘Cause I’m hot and I want to represent the company.
