EYE SPY: BIRTHDAY BASHES

Paris Hilton returned to Las Vegas this past weekend and brought the scandal and fanfare she’s known for with her. The heiress showed up to Body English Saturday night with new flame Doug Reinhardt by her side. Reinhardt has been making the rounds in young Hollywood havng been linked to Hills star Lauren Conrad and most recently with actress Amanda Bynes. Reinhardt seemed to be quite into Paris, cuddling and flirting for the cameras of course. Never one to shy away from publicity Hilton grabbed the microphone as she’s known to do at Vegas nightclubs and thanked everyone for coming out and making her birthday special and then pointed out her adoring boyfriend saying, “My man is right over there, the sexiest man in the world.” Then DJ Clinton Sparks cued up Hilton’s song “Stars are Blind” which she sang seductively to her new man. After the song, the D10 crew announced they had a special birthday surprise for her and welcomed buzz band Chester French to the stage who performed two songs dedicated to Paris. The big finish was a giant, whimsical birthday cake shaped like a pink mushroom topped off with a butterfly and surrounded by her favorite red velvet cupcakes, presented via a parade of sparklers as the entire club sang Happy Birthday. Paris’ party continued in her Penthouse suite with a full on parade of characters from Beacher’s Madhouse, courtesy of Beacher himself. As Paris parties go , the festivities lasted until 5:30 a.m.

Paris wasn’t the only celebrity celebrating a birthday this weekend. Over at TAO Actress Brittany Snow had plenty of reasons to celebrate this weekend. After starting her Vegas weekend at LAVO on Friday, the birthday girl, who is turning 23, blew out the candles at TAO on Saturday. Snow, who will be staring in the just announced Gossip Girl spinoff, was joined by film producer boyfriend Ryan Rottman, 90210 star Jessica Stroup and a bunch of friends for a birthday dinner at TAO Asian Bistro. Dinner was topped off with a birthday cake and Snow made sure to make a wish before blowing out the candles and digging in. They group then headed up to the club where sparklers and champagne welcomed them to their table on the dance floor. The girls danced the night away to the sound of DJ VICE, even taking center stage on the catwalk to the delight of the crowd.

Finally, “Zack and Miri Make a Porno” actress Elizabeth Banks celebrating her birthday at Prive Las Vegas on Friday with kamikaze shots and a red velvet cake. She partied with her girlfriends until 2:30 a.m.

CHANGES AT LAVO

LAVO’s Chef Ludo Lefebvre is out at the popular Pallazzo restaurant and the hotspot is readjusting their menu. A LAVO rep had this to say of the change:

“Since opening six months ago LAVO has become a significant dining and nightlife destination in Las Vegas. During that time we have noticed a trend of strong consumption of items from the Italian portion of our menu and have decided to further enhance those offerings. Chef Ralph Scamardella, a corporate chef for TAO Group and previously executive chef and partner at Carmine’s in New York City, will be manning the kitchen at LAVO and overseeing the redesign of the menu to feature more classic Italian fare. As a result of this change Chef Ludo Lefebvre, who served as opening chef, will be departing as of March 7.”

ONE MORE NIGHT WITH PARIS

It’s been awhile since the heiress has made a visit to Sin City, but fear not Paris Hilton returns to us this weekend for…her birthday…about a month after her actual birthday, which was on February 17th. Semantics right? But that’s not the biggest shocker. What surprised us was that Hilton is choosing to celebrate at Body English rather than at PURE Nightclub, the former sight of many infamous Hilton celebrations.
