Jorge Hernandez Named Executive Chef

Arizona Charlie’s Decatur has promoted Jorge Hernandez from sous chef to executive chef, announced American Casino & Entertainment Properties officials.

“Arizona Charlie’s Decatur is well known among locals for its excellent food quality and value, so it is important that you have a qualified and respected chef in the role. We are pleased that we were able to find the best person, Chef Hernandez, on our existing culinary staff,” said Ron Lurie, executive vice president and general manager for Arizona Charlie’s Decatur.

Hernandez oversees all dining venues at Arizona Charlie’s Decatur including the Sourdough Café and the Frisco Market Buffet. He is also working to develop new dining venues and concepts.

Prior to Arizona Charlie’s, Hernandez gained extensive culinary experience at various Las Vegas gaming resort properties. Hernandez has served as a room chef at Palace Station Hotel & Casino, Circus Circus, Gold Coast Hotel and Casino and The Orleans Hotel and Casino.
