Friday night at Planet Hollywood on the mezz level VIP guests and select Vegas tastemakers entered the grand entrance to KOI for the first time, passing beneath three playful gilded Buddhas. The first Buddha sees no evil, the second hears no evil and the third speaks no evil. These Buddhas embody the Las Vegas mantra of, “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” The hand-picked guests celebrated Las Vegas’ new hot spot, owned by the Los Angeles-based KOI Group and designed by their new in-house design team, KOI Design Group. This stunning restaurant has all the makings of the original with a prime address and the vibrant Las Vegas Strip as a backdrop. The crowed included: Avril Lavigne, Camille Guaty ("Las Vegas"), Chris Kattan (“Saturday Night Live”), Chris Parnell (“Saturday Night Live”), David Spade (“Rules of Engagement”), Dax Shepard (The Comebacks), Deryck Whibley (Musician, Sum 41), Ian Ziering ("Dancing With the Stars"), Jeremy Piven (“Entourage”), Jon Cryer (“Two and a Half Men”), Jonathan Sadowski (“Chuck”), Krysten Ritter (What Happens in Vegas…), Lydia Hearst (Designer/model), Natalie Zea (“Dirty Sexy Money”), Pamela Anderson, Petra Nemcova, Rachael Taylor (Transformers), Rex Lee (“Entourage”), Rick Fox, Rick Salomon, Seth Meyers ("Saturday Night Live"), Scott Porter (“Friday Night Lights”), Simon Rex (Scary Movie 4), Stavros Niarchos, Vince Neil (Mötley Crüe), Yvonne Strahovski (“Chuck”), Zach Gilford (“Friday Night Lights”),
Zoe Saldana (Vantage Point), Penn Gilette among others. I am still waiting for Stavros to send me halowwen pictures of himself dressed like Ian Zeiring's 90210 character Sreve Sanders. Simon Rex had to run over to The Hard Rock and appear as Dirt Nasty. Rick Saloman told me that his wife Pamela Anderson was thinking about doing another show in Vegas after her Hans Klok engagement ended.
